Beyond The Line is a small independent publication. It collects as little information as possible, and only to send the newsletter.

What is collected

If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is collected. That is the only information you are asked for.

You do not need to subscribe to read anything on this site. Every story is free to read without giving any details.

Why it is collected

Your email address is used for one purpose: to send you new Beyond The Line interviews, profiles and reporting.

It is not used for advertising, and it is not sold or rented to anyone.

Who processes it

The newsletter runs on beehiiv, which stores subscriber email addresses and delivers the emails. When you use the subscribe form on this site, your address is submitted directly to beehiiv.

beehiiv handles that data under its own privacy policy, available on the beehiiv website.

If Beyond The Line ever moves to a different newsletter provider, this page will be updated to name it.

Unsubscribing

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. One click stops all further emails.

If a link ever fails, email beyondthelinejournalism@gmail.com and you will be removed manually.

Correcting or deleting your details

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email beyondthelinejournalism@gmail.com and the request will be actioned as soon as reasonably possible.

Deleting your address removes you from the newsletter, so you will stop receiving stories.

Cookies

This site does not set its own advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no analytics tracking on it.

The subscribe form is embedded from beehiiv, and that embedded form may set cookies of its own as part of operating the form. Those are controlled by beehiiv rather than by Beyond The Line.

Your browser settings can block or clear cookies at any time. Doing so will not stop you reading the site.

Contact

Any question about this page or about your information can be sent to beyondthelinejournalism@gmail.com.
